Europe has the highest share of essential workers (63.0 million, 8.9%) and people with underlying conditions (37.4%). These two categories are essential in maintaining societal functions and reducing severe covid-19. In contrast, southeast Asia has the highest share of healthy adults (777.5 million), a key target for reducing community transmissionVaccine hesitancy will probably impact future covid-19 vaccination programs. Based on a literature review, 68.4% of the global population are willing to receive covid-19 vaccination. Each county should evaluate different strategies and allocation schemes based on local epidemiology, underlying population health, projections of available vaccine doses, and preference for vaccination strategies that favor direct or indirect benefits.

What this study adds is that target population sizes for Covid-19 vaccination vary markedly by the vaccination goal and target geographical region. each county should evaluate different strategies and allocation schemes based on loacal epidemiology, underlying popuation health, projets of vailable vaccine doses and prefrence of vaccination straegies.
It is poplar notion, that the high income countries have sought to secure future supplies of Covid-19 vaccines, leaving the rest of the world with uncertain access. The bottom line is that greater transperancy and global collective action will be required.
